Your ceremony will be at the heart of your wedding day and the start of your future life together. As this is such an important event, I want to invest the time and energy to get to know you and your journey together. This will enable me to deliver a ceremony script in collaboration with you which you and your guests will love and always remember.

Your wedding is about celebrating your love together with your family and friends. I always look to weave that love through every bespoke ceremony I create. No two love stories are the same, so neither should be the ceremonies that celebrate them. I specialise in tailoring each ceremony to reflect your personalities, traditions, hopes, and dreams.

I will embrace your wedding style.

Whether you envision a large ceremony, an intimate event, a relaxed get-together or a themed celebration, I will embrace your wedding style. It can be traditional, alternative or a mix of the two. Similarly, it can be heartfelt with sentiment and filled with laughter and joy. The choice is yours; your ceremony will be delivered in your style.

We can include all or any combination of the traditional ceremony elements: commitments, vows, the 'I do's,' the ring exchange, and, of course, the kiss at the end! I can honour any religious or spiritual content or symbolic elements in your bespoke ceremony. There can be music, dancing, dog ring bearers, readings, and poems; I will be delighted to help and guide you with your choices.

About me

I have a natural warmth and a good sense of humour, which I like to bring into my ceremony scripts. I will craft a joyous and personalised ceremony and always aim to create an atmosphere of celebration from the very start of your ceremony.

Love has no boundaries, and I am dedicated to creating ceremonies that celebrate all forms of love. I welcome couples of all cultures and orientations with open arms.

The wonderful thing about having a celebrant-led ceremony is that the sky is the limit; there are no restrictions. You can have your wedding wherever you choose, inside or outside, on a beach, in a castle, or a luxury hotel; you decide where to celebrate your love story. If you wish to have a particular style or theme, I will embrace this fully!

Choosing a celebrant to write and perform your wedding ceremony gives you the flexibility to have your wedding how you want it to be. It's your day, so let's do it your way.

  • An initial Zoom/online meeting where you can ask me as many questions as you like; this will help you decide if I am the right celebrant for you.

  • I will then send you a couple's questionnaire to help me write your ceremony.

  • A second meeting, either by Zoom or in person, to share the plan.

  • A professional and individually created wedding ceremony script, written by me and amended and revised by you until you are completely happy.

  • Unlimited contact with me throughout the process.

  • Help with suggested poems, reading resources, and music choices if required.

  • Help with writing your vows, should you wish.

  • Inclusion of any religious, spiritual or symbolic elements.

  • Liaising with other ceremony suppliers such as the venue, wedding planner, and photographer.

  • A wedding rehearsal.

  • On the big day, I will arrive at least one hour before the ceremony begins. I will liaise with your wedding coordinator to make sure everything runs smoothly. I will meet and greet guests and brief the wedding party on what they have to do so you can relax and enjoy your day. I will see you before the ceremony.

  • I will deliver your wedding ceremony. I only perform one wedding per day, so I won't need to rush off.

  • I will give you a copy of your final wedding ceremony script on completion.

* Travel expenses: No mileage is charged for meetings, rehearsals, and ceremonies within a 30-mile radius. Past this distance, mileage is charged in line with government guidance at 45p per mile.

Emily and I played the Bride and Groom for Karen’s recorded wedding assessment as part of her accreditation to become a wedding celebrant. It was great fun as we are an engaged couple planning our wedding. It was a 1950s wedding, and we all went to town on the theme.

Karen wrote the entire ceremony, including the vows and commitments; she chose the entrance and exit music and the reading. She even included remembrance candles for loved ones who had passed away and did a handfasting ceremony!

Karen has a natural warmth and joy; her passion for us, our love story, and the wedding ceremony shone through, as did her sense of humour, which she wove into the script. There were very moving parts that she handled sensitively and laugh-out-loud moments, too. We walked back down the aisle to ‘All Shook Up’ by Elvis while the audience covered us in party poppers!
We hope Karen will be our celebrant when we get married next year.

Karen was the celebrant at the funeral of my father. She was meticulous in her preparation, taking the time to visit us before the funeral to find out about his life. Karen kept us in the loop about her contact with our funeral director, so we knew exactly how logistics would work.
